The first thing anyone notices about Darin is his booming laugh and the jovial face that goes along with it. Actually, it’s the mustache. When he has the mustache, that is definitely the first thing anyone notices. But, past the endearing surface qualities, Darin is a thoughtful, capable person that you know you can count on.
Those same qualities come through in his photos. Within any of his collections, the imagery covers the same range that Darin’s character covers: fun, sentimental and a genuine appreciation for beauty.
As a devoted dad, a life-long dancer and a pragmatic dreamer, Darin brings a life of experience to his camera whenever he picks it up.

Before picking a photographer, I'd suggest...
Look for someone whose style you like. If you don't know what style you like, think about the movies you like. If you like rom-com, go light and airy. If you love Les Miserables, go for something dramatic.

It took me a long time to find my career. I went to school for echocardiography. Circumstances led me to change majors to photography. Long story. I’ll tell you sometime. A lot of the jobs I’ve held coincidentally gave me a skill set that set me up in my photography career. I worked as a bartender and learned about service and interacting with all kinds of people. I ran my own coffee house for a couple years and learned the back end side of business.
It’s funny how things work out.
