Amanda is rooted in beauty, light and timeless elegance. She directs couples into soft and romantic poses with ease - making everyone feel and look fabulous.
Her clients love her confidence, knowledge and ability to make everything fun.
Her background in dance gives her insight into body movement as an art form. That perspective influences her work and allows her to capture candid moments with style.
Amanda is an animal lover with a bird, and two (crazy) beagles at home who keep her on her toes. She is a magnet for lost pets - we think they recognize her good heart and sunny dispositon and feel safe with her.
On wedding day, Amanda's creative side shines. She cares deeply about the couple's vision and pulls out all the stops to make that vision a reality. No matter the location or circumstance, her work drives the emotions of a story home.

A cabin in the north woods, a flat in the French Quarter early in the morning, a secluded hot spring in Arizona. Any place with stillness. Water is a plus.

Which TV family would you most like to be a member of?
What is your favorite thing about shooting a wedding?
Fast paced nature of wedding days, necessity to make art and find inspiration.
What is one thing you like every bride & groom to know before their wedding?
No one can "ruin" your wedding day unless you choose to allow it. The wedding day is a living thing and you can't control every aspect of it, so once you've laid your plans, just let it go.
Before picking a photographer, I'd suggest...
Choose someone whose work you LOVE. You should be excited to see the final product and never concerned that you're not going to get what you want.
I love red wine, dark beer, chocolate and cheese.
In college I studied costume design, and seeing live theatre is still one of my favorite things to do. I'm mad about stories onstage and stories in general. Audiobooks are the best thing since sliced bread (or toast) and I've most recently listened to Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse Five, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Everything is Illuminated.
I'm addicted to cinematic television series (more stories!) and in the past I've devoured Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Lost (for the second time) and Twin Peaks.
I make lots of things, including puppets and awesome upcycled furniture.
My favorite places to visit are New Orleans (music, food, history, cemeteries, and gardens), Boulder (mountains and hippies), Brooklyn (art, green space, architecture), Flagstaff (more mountains and hippies), Upnort (pines, water, quietude), anywhere with snorkeling, and anywhere in the Pacific Northwest where I might catch a glimpse of a whale.
